Archaeologists using high-resolution drone photography have discovered a previously unknown Nazca Line depicting a giant feline figure. Located on a hillside in the Rio Grande de Nasca drainage, the figure measures approximately 37 meters in length and dates back to the Paracas period (c. 200 BCE).
The feline is shown in profile with its head facing the viewer, a common motif in Paracas iconography. This discovery highlights how much of the desert’s ancient history remains hidden to the naked eye but is visible through modern aerial technology.
