Archaeologists conducting excavations at the Jandial D site in the Taxila region have uncovered a massive, 100-meter-long ancient structure. The discovery, made during field operations in August 2026, reveals significant stone bases and complex structural elements that suggest a large-scale building complex.
The site is strategically located near the famous Jandial Temple and the Kacha-Kot fortifications, an area known for its deep historical ties to ancient defensive systems and urban settlements. Researchers from the Khyber PATH Project are currently analyzing the rock-based architecture to determine the function and exact era of this expansive find.
