Bilingual Greek-Sanskrit Inscription Found in Uzbekistan Details Early Philosophical Synthesis of 'Virtue and Dharma'

A team of international archaeologists in Termez, Uzbekistan, has discovered a bilingual limestone tablet featuring Greek and Sanskrit text. Dating back to the 2nd century BCE, the inscription records a dialogue between a local governor and a traveling sage concerning the alignment of Greek 'Arete' (Virtue) with the Vedic concept of 'Dharma'.

This find is the first of its kind to explicitly document a philosophical synthesis between the Stoic traditions of the West and the Sanatan traditions of the East. The text argues that the 'Universal Logos' and the 'Cosmic Order' are identical principles expressed in different tongues, marking a milestone in the study of cross-cultural wisdom traditions.
