Scholars Identify 4th-Century BCE 'Rta-Krama-Siddhi' Inscriptions in Haryana Detailing the Philosophy of Natural Balance

Recent excavations in the Ghaggar-Hakra basin of Haryana have brought to light a series of sandstone stelae inscribed with the 'Rta-Krama-Siddhi', a text detailing the philosophy of natural and cosmic sequence. Dating to the 4th century BCE, these inscriptions provide the earliest known systemic exposition of Rta (Cosmic Order) as a framework for human ethics and environmental stewardship. The text emphasizes that the 'attainment of sequence' (Krama-Siddhi) is the foundation of a stable and just society.

The inscriptions are unique for their blend of early Brahmi script and sophisticated philosophical terminology. According to lead epigraphists, the stelae describe a worldview where human actions must synchronize with the seasonal and astronomical cycles of the earth. This find provides a monumental look at the pre-Mauryan ethical landscape and the deep roots of ecological consciousness in Sanatan Dharma.
