Archaeologists working at the legendary site of Mohenjo-Daro have announced the discovery of a previously unknown urban hydro-therapy complex. Unlike the famous Great Bath, this facility appears to have been partitioned into private chambers featuring bitumen-lined troughs. Preliminary residue analysis suggests the presence of specialized mineral salts and botanical extracts, indicating that the site was used for medicinal bathing rituals rather than general hygiene or religious purifications.
The excavation team also recovered a series of copper pipes that appear to have been part of a gravity-fed water delivery system. This discovery provides new insights into the sophisticated public health infrastructure of the Indus Valley Civilization.
