The designation includes an emergency grant for the digital preservation of the site's extensive petroglyphs, which are currently threatened by shifting permafrost and erosion. Researchers will use AI-driven 3D-photogrammetry to create a permanent record of the engravings, ensuring the survival of this archaeological record for future generations.
