Scholars Unveil 10th-Century 'Prameya-Siddhi-Sangraha' Manuscript in a Private Tirupati Collection Reshaping Medieval Ontology

A previously unknown 10th-century manuscript titled 'Prameya-Siddhi-Sangraha' has been brought to light from a private family collection in Tirupati. The text is a comprehensive compendium of ontological proofs regarding the nature of 'Existence' (Satta) and 'Non-Existence' (Abhava). It represents a critical bridge between early Vaisheshika atomism and the later, more refined systems of Navya-Nyaya.

The manuscript is notable for its secular tone, focusing on the logical properties of objects rather than theological justifications. It introduces a sophisticated theory of 'Relational Reality,' where objects are defined not by their substance but by their interactions with other entities. This discovery suggests that medieval Indian philosophy possessed a mature 'systems-theory' approach to the physical world that was far more advanced than previously documented.
