The tablets, written in Elamite but containing several proto-Sanskrit terms, focus on a debate regarding the First Cause of the Universe, comparing the Elamite concept of divine order with the Vedic concept of Rta.
This discovery pushes back the timeline of formal inter-civilizational philosophical dialogue by several centuries. The text reveals that even in the Bronze Age, complex ontological questions regarding the nature of creation and the origin of law were being discussed across the vast distances of the Iranian plateau.
