The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has unveiled a new series of 'Heritage Pearl Adventures' for 2026, designed to immerse visitors in the Kingdom's ancestral pearling legacy. The program extends the reach of the UNESCO World Heritage Pearling Path in Muharraq, combining historical storytelling with physical experiences like authentic pearl diving and snorkeling in the Persian Gulf.
Participants are guided through restored merchant houses and traditional shops, including the iconic Siyadi House, where they learn about the economic and ritualistic significance of the pearl trade. The initiative not only promotes cultural heritage tourism but also allows visitors a rare chance to connect with the island's maritime traditions by keeping any natural pearls they discover during the excursions.
